StarHub wins multiple awards in Opensignal’s 5G Global Mobile Network Experience Awards 2023
Singapore, 23 October 2023 – Independent analytics company Opensignal has named StarHub a Global Winner for Best 5G Video Experience, recognising the brand as the top operator in Singapore for the category. StarHub has also been recognised as 5G Global Leader in the 5G Game Experience category, and Global Rising Star in the 5G Availability and 5G Download Speed categories, topping the table for the latter category. Aligned with StarHub’s DARE+ initiative, the awards exemplify our brand’s commitment to deliver experiences that enrich our customers’ lives.
Opensignal’s 5G Video Experience category evaluated the quality of video streamed to mobile devices by measuring real-world video streams over an operator’s 5G network; and StarHub is proud to be the top operator in Singapore for this category. StarHub achieved a 78.5 point “Excellent” score on a 100-point scale, the top result in the category, which indicates customers can stream 1080p or higher resolution videos with fast loading times and no stalling with a 5G connection.
In all categories, StarHub was ranked under the Group ll segment which comprises operators in markets with land area of less than 200,000km2.
Published annually, Opensignal’s 5G Global Mobile Network Experience Awards 2023 looks to recognise key players in the mobile and network operator space globally. In June, StarHub bagged all five overall awards in Opensignal’s Singapore Mobile Network Experience Report for the categories of Video Experience, Games Experience, Voice App Experience, Download Speed Experience, and Upload Speed Experience.
